Suffolk Va April 9th 1863

My Dear Wife

i received your two last letters and i was very glad to hear that you was well and injoying good health

our Regement was payed 4 months pay on Monday last and i have sent $60. (sixty Dollars) to you by Adams express  you will have to go to the express office to get the money  i will inclose the check in this letter so that you will not have trouble to get the money

Dear Maggie  i hope this letter will find you and Lizzie injoying the best of health

our Divition(???) at Suffolk was Revived Yuesterday by Gen Peck  it was quite a big day among the Soilders.  you say you gone to work again  i think you must have it rather hard having to walk so far to work and to be there so early  they dont give you much time to eat Breakfast

i suppose Hughs must be doing a big Bussiness on the government job.  My Dear Wife  i have no more to add at present
