My Dear Wife

i received your kind letter last night and i was very glad to hear that you and Lizzie was still injoying good health as this leaves me the same at present.  we have had a good bit of wet bad weather since we have been up hear but we manage to make the best of it.

Dear Maggie  my fingers are almost to cold to write and i have to make a writing Desk of my knee  but time travels on  it is now got into February and 7 months will Soon slip round

i have nothing new to write  everything is quite at present and my fingers is so cold i have upset my ink Bottle and i will have to stop writing
