My Dear Wife
I write to inform you that i am still injoying good health and i hope these few lines will find you injoying the same Blessing i wrote a letter to you a few days ago but i was in a great hurry i have moore time to day. though i have had it rather rough since i have returned to duty but i dont expect much rest until winter setts in and we go into a permenent camp or Winter Quarters and if we have the luck to Build good quarters i shall have you to come down and spend the Winter with me. but we have some hard months to go through before we can go into Winter quarters.
Dear Maggie i have nothing new to add only that we have had two weeks of hard fighting since i have returned to duty. but God has been with me and i am still safe
i hope this will find Lizzie much improved in health and that you and all the family are all injoying the Best of health as this leaves me at Present
