My Dear Wife

i write to inform you that i have sent $25 to you by Adams Express today  i come down from Barnards Mill this morning to attend a Court Martial in Norfolk and while i was there i thought i would send you the money while i had the chance

Dear Wife  it is now nearly three weeks since i have had a letter from you  i hope nothing is wrong at home.  You will have to go to Adams Express office for the money  they will keep it until you call for it.

Dear Wife  i must now come to a close  Give my Love to Your Mother  Jane and all the family  Sister Margreat and Remember me to Dear Little Lizzie
