My Dear Wife

i received your very kind letter today and i was very glad to hear that you was well and injoying good health as it leaves me at present  i received the Postage Stamps all right  i am glad that your old woman pleses you  i hope she will always give you satisfaction.  i suppose Asnith Dyson is all right now when she has got Jerry to her self.  i am glad to hear that you are fixed so well in your house though I think it is pretty hard for you to work to 8 oclock all this winter  you must be careful and not hurt your self by working to hard.

Dear Wife  time flys on and the happy time will soon come around.  there is a great time in camp just now with soilders reinlisting for three years more or for the War  there is some 15 men of our company enlisted already and all of the other companys in the Regt have as amny and some them more  as soon as they are swore in they receive (30) days Furlough to go home and about $175 bounty.  but there is no danger of me or your Brother William trying it again  i think i will have done my share when my three years is up.

Dear Maggie  i have no news to send  things are quite about at present  i will close

Give My Love to Margreat  your Mother  Jane   and all the Family  Asnith and her Husband.

My Very Best Love to You
 i am as Ever
Your Affectionate Husband
