Camp Hamilton March 14th 1862

Dear Wife

the bearer of this note is Charles Atkinson a member of my company  he is on furlough  i told him to call on you and deliver this note. i want you to send me by him two good shirts and mind that the shirts are long enough in the tail for the last two shirts you sent me hardly come in to my pants  so remember to send two that is long enough

Also send me two pair cawton flannil Drawers  make them up in a small parcel so that they will be easy to carry. this is all i want  i have plenty of stockins

tell him when he can call for them
