Barnards Mill  Dec 21st 1863

My Dear Wife

i received your kind and very welcome letter today and i was very glad to hear that you was still injoying good health as this leaves me at present

Dear Wife  you must have a very Buissy time of it with working in the mill  cooking and keeping house  i am afraid you are working yourself to hard  you must not injure your health by any means for you are very Dear to me

Christmas will be here in three days and it wont be a greate while until next summer comes round and then will be the Happyest time of my life when we meet to part no more on this world  i hope God will answer your Prayer and that we shall both injoy a long life togather

Dear Maggie  i have no news to send  i hope this will find you and Lizzie injoying the Very best of health

i must bring this to a close  Give My Love to all inquiring Friends
