My Dear Friend Mrs Lancaster

Again I sit down to write to let you know that I recd your letter a long time ago and I answered it as soon as I got it but have not heared anything from you since

I have nothing of interest to write only of my good Health & the good Health of all the Company

We are all anxious to get out but they still Keep us.  yet I think we will get out this Fall.  You spoke of Williams Horse.  I think you will have no trouble getting Pay for him for he was lost when he was Killed.  & the Government is bound to Pay him for the Horse.

I have nothing more of importance to write.
